End of Season
Dolphins and Families,
Where has the summer gone?!?! As Dolphins, we know the summer was spent with friends in the pool, and it was a great summer to be a Dolphin! Our team had great success with LOTS of improvement in times and abilities. I told the swimmers that I honestly cannot tell you how many meets we won, but I can tell you how proud I am of the improvements and efforts our team had throughout the season. From our littlest swimmers to our end-of-summer-swim-team swimmers, everyone worked hard for great results! Congratulations to Andersen Rollins - 2nd High Points 11-12 Boy at Conference! I am especially proud of our team for all that they are involved in - summer theater, baseball and softball, exhibiting livestock, working jobs. My philosophy for the Dolphins is to do your BEST and be involved in LIFE! Some people have said, "We're involved in ______ and can't do swim team. We try to give 100% in what we do." My response is, look at our team! The Dolphins swimmers are multi-talented and DO give 100% when they are in the pool, whether it is every practice or once a week. I would not want to change that for our swimmers.
I want to thank all of our volunteers who helped in any way - timers, card runners, concessions, ribbons, organizers, computer. We have the BEST parent support! THANK YOU!!
I would like to recognize my assistant coaches. Morgan Lancaster and Haley Atwater made our coaching team fun and at the same time got lots out of the swimmers. From running the technology side of swimming to bringing an infectious smile to every meet and practice - no matter how high the stress level - THANKS!
And, as you all have been patiently waiting for, the ribbons and awards are finally sorted! (We received ribbons from 3 teams at the end of the season - sorry they didn't come sooner.) You can pick these up any time the pool is open.
I will keep you posted on any clinics and practices throughout the year. Encourage your friends to check us out and join the fun!
THANKS for a GREAT season - I am PROUD of each of you!
Just keep swimming!
Coach Rachel Frost
